Huawei has announced the Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition an obvious variant of the Honor 6 smartphone. I know so many people will wonder what’s so extreme about the new edition – the answer is Huawei has increased the RAM and packed this edition with a better processor in form of the Kirin 928.
Not forgetting that the Huawei Honor 6 featured Kirin 920 SoC (which outperformed the snapdragon 805 SoC). The extreme edition would rock the new Huawei Kirin 928 octa-core processor; the clocking speed has increased from 1.3GHz to 2.0GHz, LTE A Cat.6 support (up to 300Mbps) and Mali T628MP4 GPU.
Along with the powerful SoC, The Honor 6 Extreme Edition packs 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 128GB). The device rocks a 5-inch 1080p display, a 13MP rear camera, a front facing 5MP camera, a 3100mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4 OS out-of-the-box.
The company is making a host of accessories available with the Honor 6 Extreme Edition – Users should expect 0.2mm tempered glass screen protector, 2 NFC tags, specially designed headphones, limited edition “Road and force” protective shell.
The Huawei Honor 6 Extreme Edition is expected to go on sale for RMB 2999 ($489.59; €386) and only 9,999 units of the device would be produced. The company would open the device for pre-orders starting October 21st, 2014.
looks good.
