The upcoming Huawei Ascend GX1 has been spotted on TENAA; like all devices which visit the certification agency you’ll get to see some specs details and basic information. Chinese certification company, TENAA has been a useful of leaks for the past few weeks due to the large number of devices needing certification in China.
The Huawei Ascend GX1 is a budget phablet which features a 6-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution and a pixel density of 245ppi. It is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 1GB of RAM, 8GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 8-megapixels camera with LED flash and a front facing 2-megapixels camera for selfies and video chats. The Ascend GX1 runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box, uses a ample sized 3500mAh battery and supports 4G LTE connectivity.
The phablet measures 141 x 84.5 x 9.55 mm; which means it is thicker and larger than the flagship Huawei Ascend Mate 7 which measures 157 x 81 x 7.9 mm in dimensions.
Since the Huawei Ascend GX1 has been certified on TENAA, it is expected to go official soon and a reported $225 price tag is currently what the device should cost you if it goes official.
