Though the Huawei Ascend Mate 3 has not been officially announced, that hasn’t stopped the device from popping up in various leaks. Over the past few days, users extracted the specifications of the Ascend Mate 3 through leaks but most of the details has been confirmed through the device’s listing on AnTuTu benchmark website.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 3 (MT7-TL00)) smartphone would be a major break from the norm, the device is expected to maintain its 6.1-inch display but it would be a high-end device instead of the low-range tag associated with the Ascend Mate series.
Judging from the listing, the device is expected to be powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 920 chipset (four Cortex-A7 plus four Cortex-A15 cores), the chipset tipped to beat the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC hands down. Other details includes a 6.1-inch 1920 x 1080 pixels display, Mali-T624 MP4 GPU, 2GB or 3GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front facing and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. The device is also expected to support 4G LTE connection.
An unconfirmed features is if the device would have a fingerprint scanner but it is expected to have a metal build and expected to be made official in September. Huawei has however not responded to most of the specs released online, so this is not the final specs expected on the device as they could still change.
