Huawei has officially taken the wraps off the Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Edition and the device is set to be available for a price tag of $710 (CNY 4399) in China. The company is also giving out a free bottle of Fancy Mossel Wine and a Huawei Special VIP Card – this grants you 1 hour of quick repair incase anything goes wrong with the device.
The Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Edition is a more premium version of the original variant, the Ascend Mate 7 and comes with slight improvements concerning the specs aspect.
The Ascend Mate 7 Monarch keeps the same 6-inch 1080p display but this time around it is protected by the reliant sapphire glass instead of the Gorilla Glass. It packs 64GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot which accepts up to 128GB card. Finally, it would come in Amber Gold colour finish body option only.
Huawei has a press event scheduled for December 16, it is anticipated that the device would announce the Glory 6 Plus and the Glory 4X smartphone. While there is an already announced Monarch edition of the Ascend Mate 7, the device just launched in Nigeria a couple of days ago.
The phablet sized Huawei Ascend Mate 7 features a 6.0-inch 1080p display, powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 925 octa-core processor (quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A15 and quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7) with Mali-T628 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 13MP camera, 5MP front camera, Android 4.4 kitkat OS (with Emotion UI), a non-removable 4100mAh battery.
