Huawei would definitely be one of those companies who would look back at 2014 and smile. The company has one of the best and sleekest smartphones of 2014 which includes the Ascend P7 and the phablet sized Ascend Mate 7. Both devices scored high on reviewers list for the year and packed some beastly specs.
New details has surfaced highlighting what Huawei has in stock for 2015. The company’s supposed roadmap for the year which sheds more light on the expected smartphones both the flagships and others alike.
The Ascend Mate 7 is one of the best phablet of 2014 and the Huawei Ascend Mate 8 is expected to be the successor. The device is said to maintain the same 6-inch display but this time with a 2K resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels) display. The phablet is said debut around September 2015 for $650 and would pack Huawei’s in-house Kirin 930 processor.
The Huawei Ascend D8 is another phablet on the list but it is a tad more premium than the Ascend Mate 8. It features a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display; powered by the yet to be announced 64-bit Kirin 950 processor; 4GB of RAM, 4G LTE and 64GB of internal storage. The phablet is looking another flagship for Huawei; is said to cost around $800 and probably debut by May 2015.
The Ascend P7 is expected to succeed by the Huawei Ascend P8. The successor is expected to feature 5-inch Full HD (1080p) display, Kirin 930 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB space of internal storage and a $490 price tag. The device is set to debut at the CES 2015 in January.
Huawei also has the Ascend 5, Ascend 5X, Ascend 7 and the Ascend 7X smartphone in line for debut.
• The Huawei Ascend 5 has a 5-inch HD (720p) display; 2GB of RAM; 8GB of internal storage, March 2015 debut and $115 price tag.The Huawei Ascend 5X has a 5.5-inch 720p display, September 2015 debut and $160 price tag.
• The Huawei Ascend 7 and 7X share similar specs the former has a 5-inch 1080p display; Kirin 930 processor; 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and June 2015 release date. The latter has a 5.5-inch 1080p; has the same specs and would set to be released in December 2015.
