Huawei has announced a new smartphone under a new smartphone series – the Huawei Enjoy 5 in China. The 5-inch sized was expected to be called the Huawei Honor Play 5X but is likely to official internationally under a different name.
The Huawei Enjoy 5 is already available on pre-order from Vmall and will start selling in China on October 16th. There are two models of the device – a full network model which costs CNY 999 ($157) and a China Telecom model which costs slightly lesser at CNY 899 ($141).
The highlight of the Enjoy 5 is the ample 4000mAh battery that should provide a battery life up to 2 days of heavy usage and 3.75 days of average usage. The battery also has special power saving features which see around 10% of charge last up to 24 hours of usage.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Emotion UI 3.1 ontop, the Huawei Enjoy 5 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage.
There is a front facing 5MP camera for selfies; a rear facing 13MP f/2.0 camera with 6P lenses, LED Flash, OmniVision BSI sensor, 28mm wide-angle lens; and for more storage, there is a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and 4G LTE. The Huawei Enjoy 5 comes with Dual SIM slots, measures 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7mm in dimensions and weights 160 grams. Available colour options includes – Gold, Grey and White.
