Few months after launch of the Huawei Enjoy 7 Plus (or Huawei Y7), the company has announced the Huawei Enjoy 7, which is aimed at the younger audience at an event held at the Lujiazui Financial City Exhibition Center in Shanghai. The tagline for the launch is simply “fun good looking, beyond expectation.
Housed in a slim all metal body, the Huawei Enjoy 7 sports a 5-inch IPS (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with 2.5D curved glass and backed by a 3,020mAh battery. It comes pre-installed with Android 7.0 Nougat OS with EMUI 5.1 and available for sale in Champagne Gold, Black and Pink colour options.
The device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 mobile platform and will be available in two memory and storage variants: a 2GB RAM model with 16GB built-in storage and a 3GB RAM model with 32GB storage. For extra storage, there is a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.
For photography, the Huawei Enjoy 7 has a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and LED flash, along with a front facing 5MP for selfies and video chats. The fingerprint scanner sits just below the main camera at the rear. Pricing starts at CNY 1,099 (US$ 161) for the 2GB RAM model while the 3GB RAM costs CNY 1,299 (US$ 191).
