Huawei has announced the US variant of the Huawei G8 or G7 Plus smartphone as the Huawei GX8. The chinese company which has been trying all fronts to increase presence in the US will start selling the device via Amazon.com and GetHuawei.com for a price tag of $349.99 by Q1 2016.
The Huawei GX8 is no different from the original G8, asides for the slight tweak in name and is compatible with US LTE bands. The full metal-clad device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM and 5.5-inch Full HD TFT display.
The fingerprint scanner is located below the main 13MP camera with OIS and the front camera is a 5MP snapper. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Emotion UI (EMUI) and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
