Huawei officially took off the wraps off the flagship Huawei P8 in Nigeria at the Oriental Hotel Building II, Lekki in Lagos on August 20th. The device which went official in April is already available in South Africa, Kenya and several parts of the world.
Speaking at the launch of the Huawei P8 in Nigeria, Senior Marketing Manager, Consumer Business Group, Huawei Nigeria, Olaonipekun Okunowo said;
“The Huawei P8 takes beauty to the next level, striking a flawless balance of beauty and creativity, and that based on a deep understanding of human machine design, the new product delivers a new level of usability for applications impacting everyday life- at work and at play.
With craftsmanship that pushes the bounds of possibility and new revolutionary light painting modes, the Huawei P8 provides consumers with an aspiration for creativity. The new product is an embodiment of ultimate elegance, craftsmanship and durability and one of its major highlight is a nano-injection molding process which results in an industry leading seamless tight injection among others.
Moving to the specs, the Huawei P8 features a 5.2-inch FHD display, has an Aluminium metal body build, measures 6.4mm thin and weighs about 144 grams. It is powered by an in-house made octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor with 3GB RAM, 16GB or 64GB space of internally storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB.
Other specs features of the P8 includes – 13MP camera with IOS, front 8MP camera, Dual SIM functionality, 4G LTE connectivity, 2680mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Emotion 3.0 UI ontop. There is no word on pricing and the available colour options are Mystic Champagne, Prestige Gold, Titanium Gray and Carbon Black.
