Along with the 5.2″ Huawei G9 Youth (G9 Lite) smartphone, Huawei announced the Huawei M2 Youth (or Huawei M2 7.0) tablet – the 7-inch version of the Huawei Mediapad M2 tablet which is already available in 8-inch and 10-inch models.
Available in Blue, Gold, Pink and White colour options, the Huawei M2 Youth (Huawei Mediapad M2 7.0) tablet sports a 7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display and backed by a sizeable 4360mAh battery. On the inside, it relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB built-in expandable storage space.
For photography, it packs a front facing 5-megapixels camera for selfies and a rear facing 13-megapixels camera with f/2.0 aperture. The tablet is equipped with a microSD card slot (up to 128GB), fingerprint sensor and runs EMUI 4.1 based on the now dated Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The LTE model comes with Dual SIM slots and supports Cellular connectivity.
The Wi-Fi version of the Huawei M2 Youth (16GB) is priced at CNY (US$230) while the 16GB and 32GB models of the LTE model is priced at US$292 and US$323 respectively. Sales is slated to commence on May13th.
