Huawei has commenced sales of the latest member of the Maimang series of devices – the Huawei Maimang 9 5G in China. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 (MT6873) 7nm processor with a fully integrated 5G NR (Sub-6GHz) modem for dual-mode 5G (SA/NSA) connectivity and arrives in two memory configurations: 6GB RAM + 128GB built-in storage for CNY 2,199 and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage for CNY 2,399.

The Maimang 9 5G sports a 6.8-inch (2400 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ IPS display with 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.33% screen-to-body ratio and 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera in the top-left punch hole notch. Main photography is handled by a triple camera setup with a primary 64MP (f/1.89) camera paired with 8MP (f/2.2, 120° FOV) ultra-wide-angle lens and 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor. The whole setup has a single LED flash, EIS, and supports 4K video recording.
The Huawei Maimang 9 5G comes pre-loaded with EMUI 10.1 (based on Android 10) and depends on a long-lasting 4,300mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging via the USB Type-C port. The rest of the specs include 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5, microSD card slot (supports up to 256GB or 512GB cards) and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Black, Forest Green and Pink (Cherry Blossom) are the available colour options. There are reports that the Maimang 9 5G will be sold as the Huawei Enjoy 20s in markets outside China.
