HUAWEI has taken the wraps off its new Mate 40 flagships – the Huawei Mate 40, Huawei Mate 40 Pro, and Huawei Mate 40 Pro+. All three are powered by Kirin 9000 series 5nm 5G SoCs with dedicated NPUs and come pre-loaded with EMUI 11 (based on Android 10) as well as Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). The Mate 40 has a 6.5-inch display with 90Hx refresh rate and FHD+ resolution while the pro models have a bigger 6.76-inch display with the same resolution and refresh rate.
The Huawei Mate 40 has a triple camera setup with a primary 50MP (f/1.9) shooter with RYYB sensor. The Mate 40 Pro has the same setup as the original, however the ultra-wide and telephoto units have been switched and the Pro+ has the same as the Pro but adds an extra Periscope camera. The trio also have a single 13MP selfie camera; however, the pro models add 3D Depth Sensing ToF Camera.
