Huawei MateBook X Pro Debuts with FullView Display, 8th-Gen Intel Core processors

The Huawei MateBook X Pro was the first product announced by Huawei at the MWC 2018, Barcelona. The latest entrant to the Matebook family is the successor to last year’s MateBook X, first notebook from the Chinese brand with FullView design.

Reminiscent of Apple’s Macbook Pro design, the Huawei MateBook X Pro has an incredible 91% screen-to-body ratio on its 13.9-inch, 3000 x 2000 pixels resolution touchscreen display. It sports a metal body design and both Corning Gorilla Glass protection and anti-fingerprint coating on the display.

To maintain the bezel-less body profile, the front camera can be accessed beneath the keyboard via a pop up camera function key. The notebook is powered by Intel’s 8th-Gen Core (i7 8550U / i5 8250U) processors paired with up to 16GB of RAM and Nvidia MX150 discrete graphics processor with 2GB RAM.

The Matebook X Pro features two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, headphone jack, Thunderbolt 3 support, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos and quad microphones that pick up sounds within 4-metre range. It is expected to deliver up to 12 hours of video playback time or 15-hour web browsing.
