Two weeks ago, Huawei commenced sales of a new waterproof MediaPad tablet in Japan called the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 WP. It is IP67-certified (dustproof and water resistant) and comes with a built-in One seg full-seg TV tuner (Japan only) as well as an antenna cable to receive TV signals.
Asides the above additions, the Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 WP has basically the same specs as the Mediapad M3 Lite 10. It has a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) WUXGA IPS display, USB Type-C port and depends on a 6,660mAh battery with 9V/2A fast charging and just over 10 hours of battery life assured.
The slate arrives pre-loaded with Emotion UI (EMUI) 5.1 (based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS) and relies on an octa-core Kirin 659 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage. It also has a microSD card slot (supports cards up to 256GB), front and rear facing 8MP cameras and quad stereo speakers by Harman and Kardon speakers.
The Huawei MediaPad M3 Lite 10 WP measures 248 x 173 x 7.8 mm, weighs 465 grams and comes in Mystic silver colour. It is on sale in Japan for a price tag starting at JPY 41,000 (US$ 362).
