Huawei has been pretty busy with smartphones of late but ahead of the IFA 2014, the company has announced a 8-inch tablet running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Yes you heard the dated Jelly Bean OS and a Qualcomm snapdragon processor keeps the device ticking. The new device locally is known as the Huawei Honor S8-701u but internationally the tablet is known as the Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0.
The Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 Tablet features a 8.0-Inch (1.280 x 800 pixel) resolution IPS LCD display, powered by a Quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM. There is also 8GB of internal storage but no word on microSD card storage. The device also sports a 5MP CMOS camera on the rear and a front facing VGA camera.
The Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 Tablet is powered by a 4800mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with Huawei’s Emotion UI 1.6 interface on top. The device also has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi as well as other standard tablet features.
Judging by the specs, the tablet is so below par even for a budget slate and I suggest other tablets should be taken into consideration. But if you would like to get tablet it is available for a price tag of $162 / €123 in White and Silver colour variants.
