Huawei has launched the Honor Pad Note with 9.6 display; the voice calling version called the Huawei Mediapad T1 9.6 is now available in stores. The slate which is also called the MediaPad T1 (A21L) by some sources, is selling for a price around $291.
The Huawei Mediapad T1 9.6 features a 9.6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64bit Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 64GB).
On the rear, there is a 5MP camera and a front facing 2MP camera. The tablet can make voice calls thanks to a Single SIM slot on-board and also supports cellular connectivity – both 3G and 4G LTE. Other connectivity options includes – microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS; with Accelerometer being the only listed Sensor option.
The slate measures 8.3mm thick, weighs 435 grams, and it disappoints by running on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with EMUI 3.0 ontop (no word on Lollipop update).The Huawei MediaPad T1 9.6 is backed by a 4800mAh Li-Polymer battery which guarantees 5 hours of playback time.
