At the ongoing MWC 2015, Huawei has announced the successor to the MediaPad X1 – the Huawei MediaPad X2 phablet. It comes with 4G LTE support and is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core processor.
The Huawei MediaPad X2 features a 7-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) full HD display, powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Kirin 930 processor (64-bit) with Mali T628 GPU, 2GB or 3GB of RAM alongside 16GB or 32GB space of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot on-board too for storage expansion.
The MediaPad X2 runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Emotion UI ontop and supports 4G LTE as well as standard connectitivty options such as 3G HSPA+, Dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0.
To handle photography, there is a 13MP main camera with LED flash and BSI sensor; there is a 5MP front camera on-board also for selfies. The phablet is backed by a 5000mAh battery and comes with Dual SIM functionality which means it would have voice calling features.
The 16GB/2GB version of the Huawei MediaPad X2 is available in moonlight silver colour option while the 32GB/3GB version is available in Amber Gold color. There is no word on pricing and availability yet.
