Some couple of months ago, an unconfirmed report came up suggesting LG and Huawei would be making the next-gen nexus devices. While that is still unconfirmed, a report out of China by an Analyst Firm on Weibo which gave some sppecs off the supposedly Huawei Nexus Smartphone.
The Huawei Nexus smartphone is expected to sport a 5.7-inch (2560 X 1440 pixels) QHD display and would be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (64-bit) with Adreno 430 GPU. Now this is where it goes tricky, Huawei has vowed to stay off QHD display as it is branded as unnecessary and useless from the company and its quick impact on battery life is another issue.
Also, the company mostly uses its in-house developed Hi-Silicon Kirin processor for its flagship devices. It could be that the company is simply following a compulsory laid down Google guideline by opting for QHD instead of FHD and by switching to Qualcomm SoC instead of Hi-Silicon Kirin SoC.
There is no official confirmation of any of these so it is expected to be treated as any rumour. However if the rumours about the Huawei Nexus turns out true, Huawei would be the first Chinese Manufacturer to build a Nexus Phone. Looking forward to this.
