Barely a week after the Maimang 6 (Mate 10 Lite) made its debut in China, Huawei has the released device in Malaysia and Thailand as the Huawei Nova 2i. It is the first smartphone from Huawei to feature a total of four cameras (dual front and rear cameras) and 5.9-inch 18:9 Full View display.
As expected, the Huawei Nova 2i packs an octa-core Kirin 659 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB built-in expandable storage and comes pre-loaded with the company’s EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. It measures 7.5 mm thin, weighs 164 grams and depends on a 3,340mAh battery.
The smartphone is equipped with 16MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.4 rear cameras , 13MP f/2.0 + 2MP f/2.4 front cameras, fingerprint sensor, Hybrid Dual SIM slots, NFC and 4G VoLTE support. It is billed to go on sale in Malaysia starting October for RMB 1,299 in Huawei stores and retailers. In Thailand, it retails for THB 10,900.
The Huawei Nova 2i is available in Aurora Blue, Graphite Black and Prestige Gold colours. Huawei is offering a RMB 499 (US$ 75) worth of goodies with every purchase of the phone. The premium gift box includes a headphone, smartphone ring holder and selfie stick.
