The Huawei nova 5T has gone on sale in Malaysia. Similar to the Realme 5 Pro, the smartphone has an AI quad camera setup which consists of a primary 48MP (f/1.8, AF) shooter with 6-elements lens, 16MP (f/2.2, FF) ultra-wide-angle shooter with 6-element lens, 2MP (f/2.4, FF) bokeh shooter with 3-element lens and 2MP (f/2.4, FF) macro shooter with 3-element lens.
It has a 6.26-inch Full HD+ TFT LCD (IPS) display with 96% NTSC colour gamut, side-mounted fingerprint sensor (less than 1s unlock time), USB Type-C port, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 LE and front punch-hole in the top-left corner houses the 32MP (f/2.0) selfie camera. It is backed by a long-lasting 3,750mAh battery with Huawei’s SuperCharge technology (22.5W), which charges the battery up to 50% in 30 minutes.
The Huawei nova 5T is based on the Kirin 980 HiAI octa-core processor with Mali-G76 720 MHz GPU and Dual Neural-network Processing Unit (NPUs). Pre-loaded with EMUI 9.1 (based on Android 9 Pie), it arrives in only 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and Black, Crush Blue and Midsummer Purple colour options. Pre-orders begin August 29 and sales commences on September 7 starting at RM 1,599. Sales commence on September 14 in Singapore.
