Following the recent publicised launch of the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona, the Chinese company has quietly launched the Huawei P10 Lite, a new variant of the flagship in Europe. Like the P8 Lite and P9 Lite from previous years, it is a much cheaper, toned down version of the series.
Sporting a bit different body design language sans the dual rear cameras, home button and the fingerprint sensor, now below the main camera, the Huawei P10 Lite sports a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display, 3000mAh battery (built-in) and boots Android 7.0 Nougat OS with EMUI 5.1 ontop.
The device relies on an octa-core Kirin 655 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB built-in expandable storage. In the camera segment, there is a single rear facing 12MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, alongside a front facing 8MP camera for selfies. The USB-C port on the P10 and P10 Plus has also been swapped for the usual microUSB 2.0 port.
The Huawei P10 Lite is listed for pre-order on a Dutch Retail website for a price tag of EUR 349 (~ £297/ $370/ AU $481). It should arrive in Black, Gold and White colour options.
