Huawei has announced the addition of the Huawei P30 Lite New Edition to its successful ‘Huawei P’ range of smartphones. The original P30 Lite was launched alongside the P30 and P30 Pro in 2019 and the series is reported to have shipped over 10 million devices in just 85 days after launch.
The New Edition comes with an AI-enhanced 32MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with Super Selfie Night Mode and includes eight specialised scene recognitions for perfect selfies. The triple rear camera setup includes a primary 48MP (f/1.9) camera paired with an 8MP (f/1.8) ultra-wide-angle lens and 2MP (f/2.4) bokeh lens. The RAM and storage have also been bumped up to 6GB and 256GB respectively.
The rests of the specs remain pretty much the same – a 6.15-inch FHD+ FullView display, Kirin 710 SoC, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC support and 3,340mAh battery with 18W Quick Charging. The Huawei P30 Lite comes pre-loaded with EMUI 9.1 (based on Android 9 Pie) and offers full support for Google Mobile Services (GMS). It has the same 3D curved design as the original and will be available in Breathing Crystal, Midnight Black and Peacock Blue colour options.
The Huawei P30 Lite New Edition will be available in various markets in Africa, starting with Kenya and markets in Europe, including the UK and Russia. Pricing in the UK starts at GBP 299.
