Huawei P8 inspired Hisense K8 flagship launching this month

Hisense might not be a dominating name in the smartphone arena but the company is a very big firm in China which makes primarily Electronics and once in a while dabble with smartphones and tablets. The company has an upcoming flagship smartphone dubbed the Hisense K8 which is expected to launch this month.

The Hisense K8 flagship could be said to take a lot in terms of its design from the Huawei P8 and in terms of naming too, it is almost similar. We don’t know who copied who here or whether it is just a case of re-branding, but Hisense has a lot of history as serving as an ODM for other companies. It would be interesting how this pans out.

Moving to the specs, the device sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, powered by an octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. The main camera is a 13MP Sony IMX214 sensor which also has Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and the front camera is a 8MP unit for selfies.

The device runs on a customised UI version based on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS and is backed by a 2750mAh battery. The Hisense K8 is expected to cost around $483 (CNY 2999) and would be available in Red and Gold; White and Gold; and Brown and Gold. There is a faux leather like cover on the rear.
