At an event in London yesterday, Huawei unveiled the Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus smartphones. Both devices sport a 6.95 mm thin all-metal body and unsurprisingly, the Dual camera setup which the company’s partner – Leica co-engineered, is one of the highlights.
Starting with one of the highlight, the Huawei P9 (and P9 Plus) sports the Leica co-engineered Dual 12MP camera with Leica 1.76 μm pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, laser auto-focus and Dual-Tone LED flash. One of the camera sensor is RGB while the other one is Monochrome; the combo of both attains a high level of colour reproduction and depth.
The Huawei P9 Plus has most of the specs of the P9 but sports a bigger display (5.5-inch compared to 5.2-inch) and packs a bigger battery capacity (3400mAh compared to 3000mAh). Rose Gold colour option and the 128GB built-in storage of both models will be available in China only.
