The Huawei Watch Kid (or Huawei Honor Xiao K) is synonymous with the model number – ‘Huawei K1-G01’ and is expected to be the company’s second smartwatch with the luxury-looking Huawei Watch being the first. It was certified with compatibility with 2G mobile networks only (GSM 1900/1800/900 MHz frequency bands).

The smartwatch would end up running Google’s Android Wear OS, packs a single Nano SIM slot fastened with a safety mechanism which childrens will not find easy to remove and sports a 1.3-inch Plastic AMOLED display with a resolution of 128 x 88 pixels (this definitely means no circular display).

Being aimed at kids, the Huawei Watch Kid will also come with a SOS/emergency feature and is IP55 certified to be both waterproof and dustproof. It connects to mobile devices (both tablets and smartphones) running Android 4.4 Kitkat OS (and above) and iOS 7 (and above) via Bluetooth 4.0 and is backed by a 300mAh battery.
