The Huawei Y6 2019 is the last addition to the brand’s Y series family. It is powered by the Mediatek Helio A22 octa-core 12nm (MT6761) processor and is the upgrade to last year’s Huawei Y6 2018 as well as the basic (non pro) variant of the Huawei Y6 Pro 2019.
The device has a 6.09-inch (1560 x 720 pixels) HD+ Drewdrop display with about 87% screen-to-body ratio and is TÜV Rheinland certified for protection against harmful blue light. For photography, there is a single 13MP AF rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and front facing 8MP FF camera with Selfie Toning Flash 2.0.
The Huawei Y6 2019 has the same 32GB built-in storage and face unlock support as the Pro model but the RAM dropped from 3GB to 2GB and a rear fingerprint sensor is now on-board. It comes pre-loaded with EMUI 9.0 (based on Android 9.0 Pie), microSD card slot – which supports up to 512GB cards and depends on a 3,020mAh battery with intelligent battery optimisation.
It comes with Huawei’s SuperSound tech feature which includes Built-in FM Radio, Histen 5.0 and Party Mode. It measures 156.28 x 73.5 x 8.0 mm, weighs 150 grams and will arrive in Amber Brown, Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue colours (only the Amber Brown option has faux leather back).
