Recently, Huawei teamed up with Mexican mobile operators to commence sales of the Huawei GW in the country. Priced at 4,499 Mexican pesos (US$ 217) on Telcel Mexico, the mid-range device is available globally as the Huawei Y6II; as the Huawei Honor 5A in China and as the H Phone in South Korea.
Sporting a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution and pixel density of 267 ppi, the Huawei GW (Huawei CAM – L03) relies on an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 620 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage space, expandable up to 128GB via microSD.
In the camera segment, there is a rear facing 13MP AutoFocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and a front facing 5MP selfie camera with 77-degree wide angle lens. The device, measures 154.3 x 77 x 8.45 mm in dimensions, weighs in at 168 grams and backed by a sizeable 3000mAh battery (non-removable).
The Huawei GW supports 4G LTE Cat.4 networks (Bands – FDD: B2, B4, B5, B7, B28) as well as Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/AGPS/GLONASS and boots Android 6.0 Marshmalllow OS with EMUI 4.1.
