Samart i-mobile has jumped the gun ahead of Google by listing the i-mobile IQ II Android One smartphone. The device is expected to be have a price tag of around 4440 Thai Baht ($127) in the country.
The i-mobile IQ II is the first Android One smartphone to be made for Thailand and like other devices would get direct updates from Google for two years after the release date. The device features a 5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.2GHz paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage. A microSD card slot is available for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
Handling photography on the device is a rearing 8MP AutoFocus camera with BSI Sensor and LED flash. The front camera is a 2MP snapper for selfies. It supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, AGPS, Wi-Fi Hotspot, micro USB and supports 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4) connectivity options.
The i-mobile IQ II measures 140.5 x 69.75 x 9.3 mm, weighs around 134 grams, runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2500mAh battery which is expected to provide around 200 hours of standby time and 8 hours of talk time.
