iBall Andi Avonte 5 Droid smartphone with 8MP rotating camera launched

iBall has announced the iBall Andi Avonte 5 camera- centric smartphone in India. The device is expected to go on sale in the next two weeks for a price tag of  Rs 5999 in Gold colour option only.

Commenting on the launch, Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director at iBall, said,

“iBall Andi Avonte 5 with its 180 degree rotating camera, rich looks and superb features will surely be the best smart phone under Rs. 6,000 in the Indian market.”

Visibly the highlight of the iBall Andi Avonte 5 is not the specs but the 180-degree 8MP rotating camera which serves as the main camera and as the front camera for selfies; the camera also has Dual LED flash. It also has read and write support for 21 regional Indian languages and system support for 9 regional languages. 

The iBall Andi Avonte 5 features a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display, powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB).

Connectivity options on the device includes – GPS, Bluetooth, GPs/AGPS, micro USB, FM Radio, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and 3G (HSPA+) connectivity. The iBall Andi Avonte 5 runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, comes with Dual SIM slots, has chambered stereo speakers and is backed by a 2150mAh battery. 

It is not new to find smartphones, phablets or even tablets with rotating or swivelling cameras – the Oppo N3, iBerry Auxus One, Torque Droidz Axis and Droidz Rotate Android tablets, Torque Droidz Pivot and Chuwi DX1 phablet
