Following the release of the iBall Cuddle 4G tablet last week, Indian based device maker, iBall has announced a new voice calling capable tablet – the iBall Slide 3G Q81. It will be available later this January from most leading retail outlets (offline and online) in India for a price tag of Rs 7999 (~ $119).
Moving to the specs, the iBall Slide 3G Q81 sports a 8-inch IPS Multi Touch display with screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels (189 ppi) and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box. It comes with support for 15 regional Indian languages including reading and writing.
The device is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom x3 processor clocked at 1.0GHz with 1GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for additional storage space up to 64GB. Connectivity options available includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, GPS and 3G.
In the camera segment, there is a front facing 2-megapixels camera for video calls; and a rear facing 5-megapixels autofocus camera. The iBall Slide 3G Q81 offers single SIM support and needs the headphones when making voice calls; it is backed by a 4000mAh battery.
