Indian mobile device maker, iBall has launched a new voice calling tablet with fingerprint scanner on-board, a rare feature for similar range of devices available. Dubbed the iBall Slide Bio-Mate, it sports a 8-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution and is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in expandable storage space.
For photography, there is a rear facing 5 megapixels with LED Flash and a front facing 2 megapixels camera for video calls and Selfies. To enable voice calling, the tablet has Dual SIM slots and supports 3G connectivity while the fingerprint scanner is embedded into the home button and the keyboard is a multi lingual one (supports up to local Indian languages).
Connectivity options on the iBall Slide Bio-Mate include – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB OTG, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the tablet comes pre-loaded with games and apps such as Whatsapp, Humgama, TOI, Asphalt Nitro, Danger Dash and Spiderman – Ultimate Power; is backed by a a considerable 4300mAh battery. It is available for a price tag equivalent to $119 (Rs 7999) in Cobalt Brown Matte colour only.
