The Icon Q Q5.5 is the first smartphone from the New York Based company, Icon Q – which not makes only smartphones but tablets and other devices. The Android smartphone is tipped to be the perfect travel phone due to its Dual SIM functionality and it is sold unlocked & free of any carrier contracts for $199.
The Icon Q Q5.5 (QSP5510) smartphone like it’s name suggests sports a 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood it is powered by 1.4GHz Mediatek Octa Core MTK6592M processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB).
The device sports a 13MP (with LED flash)/5MP camera combination on the rear and front; this seems to be the norm nowadays. Connecitivty options the device includes – 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, 2G EDGE/GSM, 3G WCDMA. The device is compatible with most US networks but won’t work on Sprint and Verizon.
