Alongside the announcement of the Flagship Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet compact and Xperia E3; Sony Mobiles announced the Sony Smartwatch 3 and the Smartband talk. which will be available by the last quarter of the year.
The Sony Smartwatch 3 joins the Android Wear OS list of devices. The device is water resistant (IP68 certified) and features Ambient light sensors, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyro, GPS sensor options. The device has Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and Micro USB connectivity options.

The Sony Smartwatch 3 features a 1.6-inch (320 x 320 pixels) TFT display, powered by a 1.2Ghz Quad-Core ARM A7 soc, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of inbuilt storage. The Smartwatch 3 is compatible with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean devices and above. A 420mAh battery powers the device which let’s it last about 2 days of normal usage.

The Android smartwatch would be available primarily in Black and Yellow colours as well as Pink and White extra colour straps. The Sony smarwatch 3 is expected to be priced at €229 when it launches in europe this fall.
Moving on to the Sony Smartband Talk fitness tracker, the device along with the Smartwatch 3 both integrate with Sony’s accompanying app for wearables, LiefeLog. The smartband is touted as a powerful lifelogger with voice control functions and call handling.
The device features a 1.4-inch e-paper display, the display comsumes low power yet the veryvisble and clear. Other features includes in-built microphone, speaker, HD voice support. The voice control feature would support French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, US ans Uk English.
The Sony Smartband talk is water resistant (IP68) and would be available in Black and White colours; with other colours coming later.
