Swedish Furniture maker, IKEA recently added new Bluetooth speakers to its growing list of smart home products, which already includes smart lighting kits, wireless bulbs and wireless chargers. The IKEA ENEBY speaker arrives in two sizes: a smaller $49-priced (20 cm x 20 cm) version and larger $89-priced (30 cm x 30 cm) version.
Both models come in Black, Grey and White colour options, and can be wall- or stand-mounted and slots seamlessly into IKEA-designed Kallax and Eket storage systems. As expected, either size option has a signature minimalistic design and connects to devices via Bluetooth or using a 3.5mm AUX cable.
The bluetooth speaker has a front knob for turning on and off, and also adjusting the bass, treble and volume. Up to eight Bluetooth devices can be connected to an ENEBY speaker at the same time. The smaller model has a carry-on handle and an optional $20-priced battery pack, which delivers up to ten hours of music playback. Also, a $10-priced dedicated stand accessory can be purchased for both IKEA ENEBY sizes.
Sometimes last year, IKEA announced its collaboration with Sonos. Both brands are expected to deliver a wide range of sound-related product offerings which will hit stores in 2018.
I really appreciate your Bluetooth speaker review. I have been trying to figure out which speaker is the best for using as a speaker phone. Least amount of feedback, best microphone, best sound. I know I am in the minority because know one seems to review these speakers for those qualities.
Any chance you can point me in a direction?
