India’s Intex Technologies have teamed up with Jumia Côte d’ivoire to launch its first ever smartphone in Africa. The agreement would help the India-based company with brand exposure to the market while Jumia would be able to add more to its list of offering.
Jumia will new be the sole authorised seller of all Intex smartphones in Côte d’Ivoire. The company, popular for its Aqua and Cloud series of device has announced the Intex Aqua Y2 Ultra for the country and by now you should know it is selling.
Moving to the specs, the Intex Aqua Y2 Ultra features a 4-inch IPS display with WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) resolution, runs Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS, powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM.
There is 8GB space of internal storage onboard and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB). On the back lies a 5MP camera with flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats.
The rest of the Intex Aqua Y2 Ultra specs includes – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, 190 kg weight, Dual SIM functionality and 1400mAh battery. It sells for 39,500 FCFA which is about N13,500 in Naira and around INR 4400 in Rupees.
