iNew is not in the top 10 list of the popular Chinese OEMs around, but the company just announced a new offering in form of the iNew L3. The smartphone has a body build with a mixture of glass and metal which is widely used for premium smartphones nowadays.
The iNew L3 features a 5-inch IPS OGS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD), a pixel density of 294ppi, 1100:1 ultra-high contrast, 70% NTSC high colour saturation and Corning Gorilla Glass protection all around.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz paired with Mali T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. On the back is a 13MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and LED flash; the front camera is a 5MP snapper for selfies.
Connectivity options on the iNew L3 includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Display, Wi-Fi Direct, HotKnot, GPS/AGPS, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4). Sensor options includes – Pressure Sensor, Light sensor, Gravity and IR Sensor.
The IR Sensor (IR Blaster) on the device makes it usable as a remote control for home appliances like TVs, Air conditioners, fans, and more. Also the presence of HotKnot brings most of the features of NFC onboard.
The iNew L3 measures 144 x 71.8 x 7.1mm in dimensions, supports Dual 4G Dual SIM cards with Dual Standby, run Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is backed by a built-in 2150mAh battery with 1.5A fast charging features. Available colour options are Black and White while there is no word on pricing, China is the only destination for now.
