Hong kong headquartered, Infinix showcased an Android One smartphone at the just concluded Indonesia Cellular Show 2015 (ICS 2015) in Indonesia. The final name for the device is unknown but some sources suggest it would be called Infinix One.
The Infinix Android One smartphone would be a new entrant to Google’s Android One program and would be receiving direct updates from the company. The device is expected to launch by Q3 2015 (between July and September) and is expected to be available in Indonesian market.
We managed to get hand on some of the expected specs of the smartphone and compared to other Android One smartphones, it has better specs than the others. The display size is not exactly mentioned but judging from the image we have it is not more than a 5-inch display.
Resolution of the display size stands at (1280 x 720) HD. Under the hood, it would be powered by a quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. On the rear there would be a 8MP rear camera and the front camera is a 2MP unit. The smartphone is expected to run the latest Android OS (Android Lollipop) and support Dual SIM functionality.
Infinix is a familiar brands with the African, European and the Middle East markets. The company recently announced the Infinix Zero 2 smartphone in Nigeria; the 5-inch smartphone comes with Kevlar body cover and runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with promised update to Android Lollipop.
