Arriving earlier than expected, Infinix Mobility quietly announced the Infinix Hot 4, the first from the series with a fingerprint sensor. The Hot 4 X557 follows the most recent Infinix device with fingerprint sensor yet, the Hot S into the market and comes with a RRP of N36,900.
The Hot 4 is the successor to the Infinix Hot 3 which launched less than six months ago and although the body design looks virtually the same, the fingerprint sensor and bigger capacity battery on the former is enough to stir up interests. The table below has the full specs showdown between both devices.

Comparison and Differences
Following the table much didn’t change from the Hot 3 and Hot 4 but performance has increased and a fingerprint sensor is now in the mix.
The Infinix Hot 4 packs 2GB of RAM, front 5MP camera and now runs Android Marshmallow OS based XOS compared to 1GB RAM, front 2MP camera and Android Lollipop OS based XUI. It is also backed by a bigger 4000mAh battery with support for USB OTG compared to 3000mAh on the Hot 3.
You should also know that another version of the Infinix Hot 3 supports 4G LTE networks in some markets and the likelihood of a Hot 4 LTE is almost certain. The Infinix Hot 3 LTE (also called Infinix Hot Dragon) packs 2GB of RAM, 13MP main camera and front 5MP camera.
Verdict
The Infinix Hot 4 certainly brings some key upgrades over the Hot 3, however, its surprise arrival less than six months apart from the predecessor, will have some Hot 3 users feeling aggrieved.
