Infinix Mobiity has finally taken off the wraps off the Infinix S2 at the ongoing Jumia Mobile Week 2017 promotion. The self styled ‘world’s first Wefie smartphone’ is the original successor to the HOT S and the Infinix S2 Pro, which went official about two weeks ago in Kenya, is its Pro variant.
The highlight of the Infinix S2 is the dual front facing cameras – a 13MP AF camera + a secondary 8MP camera with 135 degree wide-angle shots. Both captures natural vibrance and smoother skin tones, and add features such as Magic Movie 2 and Group beautification. The rear camera is a 13MP snapper with 1.12µm Pixels and Dual-tone LED Flash, while the fingerprint sensor sits just below the main camera.
The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD with 2.5D Arc Glass and Dragontrail Glass protection. It depends on a sizeable 3000mAh battery with fast charging and powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6753 processor and Mali-T720 MP2 GPU, paired with 2GB RAM.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, USB OTG and MicroUSB 2.0. The Infinix S2 features a Hybrid Dual SIM slots and comes pre-installed with Android XOS 2.2 (based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS). It is currently available on Jumia.com.ng and all Infinix partner stores across Nigeria, in Black, Blue, Champagne Gold and Sunset Pink.
Not bad. Dual Front cameras are cool for me.
