Infinix Zero 2 4G LTE with 3GB RAM, HD Screen and Android 5.0 Lollipop OS

Earlier this week, the blogosphere (blog + atmosphere) went haywire with news about the potential launch of the Infinix Zero 2 4G LTE – an improved Infinix Zero 2 with 3GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop OS in Nigeria.

While the device in question is real, however, it is available exclusively to the Indonesian market and insiders have confirmed it won’t be stepping foot in Nigeria anytime soon. The Infinix Zero 2 4G LTE is currently selling on Lazad in Indonesia through a series of flash sales. The price tag is set at IDR 2,499,000 Indonesian Rupees which is about USD$182 or N35,500 in Naira.

In comparisons, the Infinix Zero 2 4G LTE differs from the original Infinix Zero 2 with a bigger 3GB RAM, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 5.0 Lollipop OS compared to 2GB RAM, no 4G LTE and Android 4.4 Kitkat OS on the latter. Asides the above difference both device look identical and it is hard to separate both devices unless closely handled.

This means the 5-inch HD AMOLED display, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Kevlar Back cover, octa-core 64-bit Mediatek MT6753 processor, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 13MP rear camera with LED flash, front facing 5MP camera and 2300mAh battery are all present.

Meanwhile in Nigeria, Infinix is expected to announce a new smartphone in a few days time. The device is being touted as The Hottest One (#TheHottestOne); also the company also has plans to refresh the Infinix Hot Note with 2GB RAM and hopefully we could see it boot Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.
