Feeling the need to have the last laugh in 2015, Infinix Mobile has announced its next and first true flagship smartphone – the Infinix Zero 3. The phablet sized successor to Zero 2 is dressed in a metal body and has an octa-core Helio X10 SoC, making it a direct competitor with others such as the Tecno Phantom 5, Orbra Eve 2 and the Innjoo 2.
The highlight of Infinix Zero 3 X552 is for sure the camera set up; it sports a rear facing 20.7MP camera with Sony IMX230 CMOS Sensor, 6P Largan lens, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), Dual- Colour LED flash and 4K Video RecordingThe front facing camera is a 5MP snapper with BSI sensor.
Another highlight is the choice of processor which is the Mediatek Helio X10 MT6795; the 64-bit octa-core SoC has Eight (8) Cortex-A57 cores clocked up to 2.2GHz with PowerVR G6200 GPU for graphics and paired with 3GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB expandable built-in storage space.
The Infinix Zero 3 sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, supports 4G LTE and 3G HSPA+ networks and has other connectivity options such as GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB 2.0 port.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the company’s XUI ontop, the Zero 3 measures about 6.5mm thin, has Dual SIM slots and is backed by an ample-sized 3030mAh non-removable Li-Polymer battery which the company says has fast charging as well as power Saving features.
There is no word on pricing yet but the Infinix Zero 3 is expected to arrive in several colour options and is already on pre-order on Jumia.
