The Jumia Mobile Week Megathon for 2015 has come and gone; the online e-commerce platform along with its partners MTN and MediaTek managed to stage one of the best and biggest mobile sales in Africa.
Jumia made sure the event was everywhere from the television stations, radios, blogs, social media and the newspapers were also not left out. The company also saw more download for its mobile apps on all platforms available and traffic went to an all time high and offline as well as other online competitors also had to crash their prices too to keep up.
Commenting on the successful event, Fatoumata Ba, Managing Director Jumia Nigeria stated,
“I think as far as exceeding expectations go, the Jumia Mobile Week Megathon has pleasantly surprised both Jumia and our customers. Our objectives of making our customers happy and increasing mobile penetration in Nigeria were very well met and I can guarantee that next year will get even much bigger and better for each and every one of our customers”.
Running through some of the key facts of the Jumia Mobile Week Megathon; the week saw the exclusive launch of the Innjoo Fire, Infinix Zero 2, Infinix Hot Note Pro, Tecno Y5, Samsung Galaxy Star 2 and Lenovo A6000.
