Samsung has promised a very powerful camera for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 and it’s Edge variant (Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge or Galaxy S Edge). The company has also released another Infographic which is detailing the evolution of cameras on Samsung mobile phones.
The Infographic takes us back 15 years ago to the world’s first mobile phone with an integrated camera (built-in camera) – the Samsung SCH-V200 which featured a VGA camera and was released in South Korea. In 2004, the company released the Samsung SCH-S250 with a 5MP camera and this was followed by the SCH-V770 with a 7MP camera – wide angle lens and telescope lens.
Then moving forward to 2010, the Samsung Galaxy S packed a 5MP camera with Panorama Shot. Over the years the camera improved with the Galaxy SII (8MP main, 1.9MP front), Galaxy S4 (13MP main, 2MP front with Dual Shot), Galaxy S5 (16MP main, 2MP front with HDR) and the Galaxy Note 4 (16MP main, 3.7MP front with wide angle for selfies).
Finally, the Samsung Galaxy A5 also features not because it has a greater camera than the Galaxy S5 or the Galaxy Note 4 but because it has a 5MP front camera with features such as enhanced beauty face feature, Wide Selfie and Palm selfie.
