InfoSonics Corporation, the company behind the verykool brand has announced a new entry-level 4G LTE smartphone – the verykool Spark LTE. The 5-inch metal-encased device is expected to be available in the US for a suggested price tag of $179.90 starting February 22nd, 2016.
Housed in a body with magnesium-alloy metal frame and tempered glass, the verykool Spark LTE (SL5011) sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with (1280 x 720 pixels) HD screen resolution and a pixel density of 294ppi. It relies on a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek MT6735P processor clocked at 1.0GHz with 1GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space.
The device has Hybrid Dual Verykool-Spark-LTE-SL5011 l SIM slots (Dual SIM or One SIM + microSD) i.e the second SIM slot also serves as a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB. In the camera aspect, there is a front facing 8-megapixel camera with front LED flash for selfies and a rear facing 13-megapixel AutoFocus camera with Dual LED flash.
The verykool Spark LTE measures 7.5mm thin, weighs about 152 grams and as the name suggests supports 5 x LTE Bands as well as 3 x 3G bands and 4 x 2G bands. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2200mAh Li-Po battery that promises up to 8 hours talk time and 11 days of standby time.
