Intex has announced a new smartphone – the Intex Aqua Ace Mini. The device is based on the Intex Aqua Ace, however, it is a not-so mini device since it retains much of the key specs not without some differences (both incremental and decremental). It is listed for a price tag of Rs 7999 (US$ 117).
The Intex Aqua Ace Mini sports the same 5-inch HD display but the panel has changed to IPS from AMOLED and the processor has changed to a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P processor clocked at 1.0GHz with Mali-400 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space.
In the camera segment, there is a front facing 5-megapixels camera with f/2.4 aperture and a rear facing 8-megapixels AutoFocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Connectivity options on the device includes – 4G LTE/3G, USB OTG, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and micro USB v2.0.
Measuring 145.3 x 72 x 8.65 mm in dimensions and weighing around 150 grams in size; the Intex Aqua Ace Mini has Dual Micro SIM slots, a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB), runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 3000mAh battery which should provide around 8 – 11 hours of talk time and up to 200 – 300 hours of standby time.
