Intex has announced the successor to the Intex Aqua Extreme – the Intex Aqua Extreme II smartphone; which joins other smartphones in the Aqua Range of smartphones from the Coy. The device is priced at Rs 9690 ($151) and can purchased on several online stores in Black, Champagne, Silver and White Colour options.
Asides the change in body design language, measuring 7.9mm thick and now being powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz; the Intex Aqua Extreme II is pretty much the same as the Intex Aqua Extreme.
The Intex Aqua Extreme II sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor. Handling tasks on the device is 2GB of RAM and there is 16GB space of internal storage. A microSD card slot is thrown on to expand storage up to 32GB.
On the rear, there is a 13MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies. The camera has features such as HDR, Panorama, Face Recognition, Scene Detection, Smile Shot, Best Shot and Geo tagging. Connectivity options on the Intex Aqua Extreme Aqua II includes – 3G HSPA+, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. It disappointedly still runs Android 4.4 Kitkat OS.
Apps such as Newshunt, Dr. Safety, Truecaller, Teen Patti, ASK Me, Lets Buy Intex, Intex Zone, Quikr and more come pre-loaded on the smartphone. It also allows users set app shortcuts on lock screen; which allows access to app without unlocking the smartphone.
The Intex Aqua Extreme II weighs 132 grams, measures 140 x 71.9 x 7.9mm in dimensions and is backed by a 2000mAh battery which is expected to provide up to 300 hours of standby time and 8 hours of talk-time.
