Android Kitkat running Intex Aqua M5 costs $86

Intex (Intex Mobiles) seems to be on a roll-call of late, some days ago we saw the Intex Aqua HD 5.0 and Intex Aqua Y2 1GB. The company has listed another device in the Aqua series on ecommerce platform – eBay – the Intex Aqua M5; looking at the specs the Aqua M5 is a cheaper version of the Aqua HD 5.0.

Talking about the specs, the Intex Aqua M5 doesn’t stray away from the lower midrange section and entry-level judging by current standards. It has a 5-inch (854 X 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display, powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor which clocks at 1.3GHz with 512MB of RAM and 4GB space of internal storage. There is a microSd card slot onboard which expands storage up to 32GB.

The main camera is a 8MP unit which has a LED flash and software features such as Face Beauty, Panorama & Motion Tracker. The front camera is a 2MP unit which takes selfies and used in video calls; it also has features such such as Face Beauty and Face Detection.

Connectivity options on the Aqua M5 includes – Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, micro USB, 3G and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi; Sensors options on the device includes – Accelerometer, Gravity sensor, Light sensor and Proximity sensor. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS (upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS), measures 134 x 68.2 x 9.9 mm in dimensions, the weight is unstated and is backed by a 2000mAh battery which provides up to 300 hours of standby time. 

The Intex Aqua M5 comes pre-loaded with apps such as Intex Play, Intex Zone, Google Play store, ASK Me, Clean Master, OLX, YouTube and others. It is available exclusively from eBay for Rs. 5299 ($86).
