In a bid to boost sales, manufacturers are looking at various avenues for their devices hence the advent of Music-centric and Selfie-centric smartphones. Couple of days ago, Cubot announced its first Music Phone – Cubot Echo and Indian-based Intex has just announced the Intex Aqua Music.
Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, the Intex Aqua Music has two powerful speakers (Dual-Speakers), sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and is backed by a sizeable 3400mAh battery. It has Dual SIM slots, measures 150 x 74.19 x 8.5mm in dimensions and weighs in at 159 grams.
On the inside, the devices relies on a 64-bit Mediatek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in expandable storage space. Connectivity options onboard includes – 4G LTE, Voice over LTE (VoLTE), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
For photography, there is a rear facing 13 Megapixels AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 5 Megapixels camera for selfies and video chats. The Intex Aqua Music is available in Grey and Silver colour options for a price tag of Rs. 9317 (US$ 139).
