Intex Technologies has launched a new smartphone in the Aqua series called the Intex Aqua Secure. The entry-level device comes with two features other entry-level and some other midrange devices do not have – Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) and Fingerprint Technology.
Priced at Rs 6499 (US$ 96) and available in Golden and Grey colour options, the Intex Aqua Secure sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) screen resolution, resulting in a pixel density of 267ppi and is backed by a 1900mAh Lithium-ion battery.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Mediatek MT6735M processor clocked at 1.0GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space. The device has Dual SIM slots, a microSD card slot for storage expansion and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
The Intex Aqua Secure supports 2G GSM, 3G WCDMA and 4G LTE (Cat.4) networks as well as Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and micro USB connectivity options. For photography, there is a rear facing 5MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies. The fingrprint sensor sits below the main camera on the back.
