Intex has continued it’s partnership with Opera by announcing a new 4G smartphone – the Intex Aqua Star 4G which comes with the iData Saver feature powered by Opera Max compression technology. The device will arrive in Black, Grey and White colour options for a price tag of INR 6499 (US$ 98).
The Intex Aqua Star 4G as the name entails supports 4G LTE networks, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and the iData Saver feature which is embedded into the operating system (OS) reduces up to 50-percent data consumption on images, web pages and streaming.
The device sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor clocked at 1.0GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage space which is expandable up to either 32GB or 64GB via a microSD card slot.
The Dual SIM enabled Intex Aqua Star 4G measures 143 x 72.6 x 9mm in dimensions, weighs 150 grams and is backed by a 2000mAh battery. For photography, there is a rear facing 8MP camera with LED Flash, f/2.4 aperture, 4P lens and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats.
Being an Indian focused device, the Aqua Star 4G comes with the Matrabhasha service which enables communication in about 21 regional languages including Hindi and the Swalekh keyboard that lets users write in their local languages.
